Determining the Hubble constant without the sound horizon: Perspectives with future galaxy surveys

We present a novel method for measuring the Hubble rate from spectroscopic galaxy surveys effectively marginalising over the physical size of the sound horizon. We argue this measurement may be used as a consistency test of a given cosmological model.
